Well on to some uplifting news.
The game will be now available on Wednesday the 19 through most of the states. Shipping got kinda messed up.
I found a PS2 game Cd that had a preview of the game on it. I found it at a local computer game store. YOu get to play one full round, up to 3 fights. Like most fighters best 2 out of 3 fights whens. Then the game resets and you play another level 1 round.
Very cool. I have played a couple of times, well maybe more than a couple. The special moves are way cool, and are executed similar to Street Fighter. The get behind your opponent port, for example. At least thats what I call it. Press down then away from your opponent and at the same time presh the kick button. Kinda like executing Ryu's cyclone kit special in SF II.
The demo was fairly simple, the opponent wasn't tough, but then it is only a demo and is mostly toned down. The play control was very cool and fluid. I haven't had any problems. All the special effects sounds are there. The only thing missing was the voice over intros. NC's "enguard" was missing, but thats okay.

Oh...how insane am I? I just bought a PS1, a blue controller, a blue memory card, and Mutant Academy 2 two hours ago...
Already beaten it in Arcade Mode with Kurt once, and gone through Academy Mode with him as well. For beating Arcade Mode, you get access to his end movie. For going through Academy Mode (Prof gives you instructions and you follow them...attacks, specials, and combos) you get a third costume - the original one!
So far it's pretty fun. His teleport slash, slide kick, and Ping-Pong combo are the best. With the Ping Pong Combo, you kick them into the air, teleport above them, kick them down to the ground, then teleport back down to the ground just in time to kick them all the way across the screen. Much easier to connect with than his other two supers (Mr. Wagner's Wild Ride, and "The Matrix" as I call them). But if you can get "The Matrix" to connect, it is so worth it.
I'm sure there's more to unlock...I should have waited until tomorrow to buy this...I'm going to be so worthless at work tomorrow...

Happy you found it Darkholme, jealous but happy. At least, somebody is getting to play the game. I do have my demo to keep me company, but it isn't the same.
I am going to try and find it later today.
Okay does anybody know how to release the bathing suit characters or the other 4 hidden characters yet?
